happy birthday to my blog!

One year ago on December 1, 2019, I launched my blog I’ve tried to start many blogs before but none of them stuck longer than a month or two. But this one… this one lasted a whole year! I have to pat myself on my back for this. It has been a goal of mine to run a consistent, successful blog, and I am definitely on my way.

The past year has had it’s ups and downs, most definitely. With Covid-19, the losses I’ve experienced… I can count many downs. But I’d like to take the chance to highlight the ups! The wins!

Since launching my blog, I’ve had over 500 unique visitors! My most popular posts are “April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month,” about my journey healing from sexual assault; “Grief during a pandemic,” about the loss of my favorite aunt and a pregnancy; and “My Monthly Me-dates,” where I detailed the experience of dating myself.

My future goals for this blog include featuring more Black businesses, posting more frequently, and possibly guest posts. Prayerfully in 2021, I’ll be able to travel more and go on more me-dates to bring you more content like that!

I want this post to be short and sweet and to the point, so I won’t go on too long. But I do want to sincerely thank all of my readers for checking out the content from little ole me.

Another goal for next year is to double my visitors. So tell a friend to tell a friend about me!

PS, check out my last post, "30+ Black businesses to support this holiday season".
