My name is Semia-Imani, meaning bold and beautiful faith. A storyteller at heart, I am a writer, artist, and filmmaker from Detroit, Michigan. I earned my bachelors in film and media from Howard University and am currently pursuing my masters in English at Wayne State University. I'm passionate about media and the arts, black culture, advocating for domestic and sexual violence survivors, and mental illness awareness. I aspire to work somewhere at that chaotic intersection.
Outside of all of that, I'm just a woman trying to find her place. I think I'm pretty funny, my friends tell me I'm wise, and truth be told, I tend to talk a lot of shit and have a well deserved big ego.
I'm also an obsessive dog mom to a Morkie named Lola.
I hope you enjoy what you read!
